The TypingTest.one leaderboard showcases the top typing speeds from users around the globe. Each score is measured in WPM (Words Per Minute) — the industry-standard metric for typing proficiency. The average professional typist reaches 50–70 WPM, while competitive typists often exceed 120 WPM. Where do you rank?

How Scores Are Calculated

Your WPM score is calculated by dividing the total number of correctly typed characters by 5 (the standard word length), then dividing by the elapsed time in minutes. Accuracy is measured as the percentage of keystrokes that match the target text. Both metrics are recorded in real time during each test session and submitted to our authenticated leaderboard system.

How the Rankings Work

Rankings are updated continuously as new scores are submitted. The leaderboard only displays authenticated entries to ensure fair competition and prevent duplicate submissions. Only the highest score per user is shown, and ties are broken by accuracy percentage. Scores are verified server-side and cannot be altered, making our global typing test leaderboard a trusted source for real typing speed benchmarks.
